The word Tarot derives from the Italian word "tarocchi" meaning
"trumps", which perhaps derived from the word "triumphs".
An Egyptologist named Antoine Count de Gebelin theorized that the
Tarot cards were derived from the Egyptian "Book of Thoth".
 The Tarot suits
have their equivalents in a deck of ordinary playing cards:
- wands=clubs
- cups=hearts
- swords=spades
- pentacles=diamonds
